Little steps into our Infinite Power

The latest homework from my therapist was to step into my infinite power. It sounded monumental, as if great shifts would need to be made by me. Exciting yes, but also a tad overwhelming.

However, in the last week of keeping this homework in the foreground of my mind, I’ve realised it’s all about the little things.

Stepping into my infinite power has been all about listening to my wishes in the moment. Small things like buying myself a cute water bottle – just because I wanted it. Instigating a walk with my family because I fancied doing something together. Wearing pink lipstick everyday. Saying yes to an ice cream.

It also came in the form of controlling my environment – I want to live in a clean and tidy space, so I tidied and cleaned – instead of saying ‘ah it doesn’t matter’ (which translates to ‘I don’t matter’)

Again, small, very controllable things. I have to start with these small things, so it becomes my way of being.

We start small, so we can get to the big. Although I suspect the big things won’t be big at all, just little bricks all the way up until we’ve built something monumental.

Happy building…
